Today I have some very interesting facts that I want to share with you guys I’m so glad you guys are here. First I want to introduce this piece and why I decided to do a blog this piece is based on surveillance in digital labor this is a final project for my digital media and social theory final paper. The reason that I decided to do surveillance and digital labor is because a lot of people that use social media platforms does not know this type of information and I feel like this information is something that individuals that use social media on a daily basis should know.

Many people probably already know that Instagram is a very big platform for individuals all around the world but there’s so much more to just this social media platform. Instagram is helping to better understand the people that use this platform because the mission is very meaningful and gives each person practice with digital media because it brings you closer to the people and things you love.

I would like to introduce the founders of Instagram there are three men that runs Instagram the first name is Adam he is the head of Instagram who oversees all the foundations of the company including engineer productions in operations he also was the person who designer in nature. The second founder was Kevin he was a Instagram cofounder for eight years before leaving a company. Kevin focus on expiring creativity by Somi thoughtful product design issues. Last we have mike Mike was the second cofounder he was the head of engineering for eight years make focused on building a wide range of creative product to help Instagram community connect with their interests and passions. What I noticed the most was each and everyone of these young men has went through something where is though it took them off of their path of doing something to be really enjoyed .

This is a funny thing to say but as a sociology major I noticed a Karl Marx has a very big impact in communication and sociology. Karl Marx applied to digital labor because he give great accountability to the labor of what’s going on based on social media platforms and how individuals work among the popularity of Instagram as a social network.

The articles that I decided to use was digital labor and surveillance I feel is though did you leave her has a big impact on Instagram because There are so many different reasons why people use Instagram or any social media platforms around the world for example a lot of police officers were use Instagram to stick out a crime which is on another persons page. It also creates a struggle around privacy.
