Case Two Sinclair
The media welcomes businesses like these because they provide a unique perspective that many people find appealing. Local newspapers are confronted with their own difficulties as they make the switch from print to digital. Journalists have lost their jobs as a result, and all regional newspaper groups have closed. When the media market is highly concentrated, it is more likely that political, cultural, and social viewpoints will become less diverse. The Positives and Negatives of Television: People have debated whether or not watching television is actually good for our health for a very long time. It is accepted by some that there is nothing negative about it, while it is viewed as completely negative by others. Because televisions are now so common, it is rare to see a home without one. For the full media viewing experience, we hope to have a television and excellent media bureau in each home. This company has a major interest in why the world is changing.
The Stakeholders Affected
On the one hand, the executives and CEO of Sinclair Broadcast Group. Summary in its entirety Christopher Stewart Ripley is the CEO of the Sinclair Broadcast Group, as determined by research conducted by the data team. There are 8,400 people working for Sinclair Broadcast Group, and 76 of them hold leadership positions in the United States.
The Situation
In that case there many local and journalists and producers who Following a ransomware attack on its systems on Oct. 17 that disrupted much of its local news programming, Sinclair Broadcast Group officials stated in a third-quarter earnings report that was released on Wednesday that the company is still working to fully restore the systems and plans to improve the security measures that are already in place. They were in the process of getting shut down while merging with some of the most popular companies in the world AT&T, Time, Warner and disney and the 21st century fox.
The Ethical Dilemma
It is a common misunderstanding that the network affiliation of a local station—ABC, CBS, or NBC—is what matters most because stations disclose this information when they advertise their entertainment programs. They are attempting to obtain funds from these businesses in order to assist them with their company's issues, which creates a problem. Fairness and non-maleficence are two examples of values that are being applied. Sinclair Broadcast Group's business will be hurt by other companies like AT&T, Time Warner, Disney, and 21st Century Fox because these companies are looking at Sinclair Broadcast Group from the outside and would gain a lot from making these companies bigger and better. I think that the Sinclair Broadcast Group won't gain anything because their name won't be known. However, if they work together as a team, the company will make money and grow, and even if the Sinclair Broadcast Group isn't known, they still have these businesses to make money.
The Ethical Norms
I feel like this case would be transparent because If you realize the company is basically using other companies to build their success and from the looks of it I’m not even sure if they are actually using the companies name or hiding their name. Transparency means acting in a way that other people can easily see what is being done. Openness, communication, and accountability are all parts of transparency so with my thoughts that is how sinclair broadcast group is working.
Alternative Courses of Action
Coming out and telling the public that they are taking over the businesses without putting them in danger of losing money is one way to address the issue. The broadcasting group would have to accept the fact that they are making money in other businesses without being aware of it. I think it would be the same for all of the businesses that merge with this company, but in some way I think they just do scams, so it will have an effect on the businesses that merge with them. Yes, the broadcasting group will be benefiting a lot from the March that they are doing, which is what most businesses do because it looks like you got approved, so if it got approved.
Solution
"Towards the end of the case, I feel like they should have been more honest about their work in an effort to build their reputation as a Journalist, or Reporter, who is in charge of researching and writing informational news articles and stories about real events from an objective and fair perspective." They are responsible for conducting expert interviews, compiling first-hand accounts of events, and compiling an outline into a coherent and fascinating narrative. They could have defined what actions are morally right and wrong using ethical codes or guidelines that are used by groups and organizations. Members of the group follow the guidelines to carry out their work responsibilities.
Personal Beliefs
From my personal belief I have never been in a specific situation where I had to deal with this, I really don't think or know what they should have done. However, I could say that there are a lot of things that the company needs to look at and look over before trying to actually Marge with other companies. They need to figure out the policies of their company and work through a truthful business with navigating Information. I could say that there are a lot of things that the company needs to look at and look over before actually trying to actually.
